george sand

George Sand is the nickname Aurore Dupin user to write; in the 1800's a woman had to use a man's name to be allowed to write. I like her very much as a person. Her life is a story itself and she writes pretty well. I'm fascinated by her as a person. the portrait i did is after a painting Delacroix did. Eugene Delacroix is becoming my favorite painter, i think. I like him as a person very much. I enjoyed reading what he wrotte about painting and his life. I also find the need to be alone when i draw, especially today!

the portarit i did is more of a sketch. i didn't mean to finish it . and this is a photography of the drawing; that's why the quality is not so good (meaning it's very shaded, the original is clear).
